SAT essay can help you to score a total of 12 or even push you to a total 0 as the graders who go through the SAT essay are been asked to grade your essay holistically and so they would be judging all the quality of your ideas and only those ideas would prove to make your score. The lengthier your essays are the more marks it would fetch you. The essay tips says that apart from the ideas implemented, and the length of the essay, the subject matter, literature, examples from the history which is related to the essay but do not quote any personal example either in your SAT essay or GED essay as those would pull down your scores rather. Make sure you do not tend to give all the examples in the same paragraph itself, rather, give one example per paragraph, this way you and your grader are clearer with the idea and the concept produced in the essay.
